Matt, a 138-pound senior wrestler at Lakeshore High, defeated Scott Bolan of Eaton Rapids 4-2 to win his third consecutive state Class B championship and end his season with a 53-0-1 record. Matt finished his high school career at 168-13-1. His brother, Jason, a 112-pound Lakeshore junior, decisioned Pat Wyse of Bullock Creek 8-2 to win his second straight Class B title and remain undefeated this season with 54 wins, 39 of which were pins. Jason's career record stands at 141-7.
