Jeff, a 112-pound Olean High senior, won his third straight state wrestling title by defeating Eric Kaufman of East Hampton in the final. Undefeated this season, Jeff ended his career with a 120-match winning streak.

Smith, a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, broke her own NAIA women's championship three-meter diving record to win her fourth national title and lead the Blugolds to the NAIA swimming and diving title.

KIRTLAND, N. MEX.
Cluff, 43, coached the Kirtland Central High girls' basketball team to a double overtime 62-61 win over Shiprock High to win the Class AAA state title for the eighth consecutive time, a national girls' high school record.

RENO
Kamy, a Reno High senior, broke the national high school discus record by 1'5" with a 214'11" toss on March 28, then improved that mark two weeks later to 224'3". Clint Johnson of Overland Park, Kans., set the previous record in 1980.

GINNY NORTON
ELKIN, N.C.
Ginny, a 6-foot senior forward at Elkin High, averaged 29.7 points and 12.7 rebounds this season to lead the Buckin' Elks to the Blue Ridge Conference basketball championship. She finished her high school career with 2,090 points.

TOM SASSO
EVERETT, MASS.
Sasso, a junior center for the Babson College hockey team, received the Hobey Baker Award (college division) for being the outstanding player for the second straight year. He is the first player to win the award twice.
