Art, a high school senior, shot perfect 100s in the .410-bore and 20-gauge events and hit 395 of 400 targets to win his third straight junior world skeet shooting title, in Bridgeton, Mo. He is also a star defensive tackle for Permian High.

Jonathan, 7, faced adult competition in becoming the youngest Black Belt ever to win both the Open Black Belt Showmanship Division and the Grand Championship trophy at a regional karate tournament in Costa Mesa, Calif.

Michelle, 17, beat Lynne Mikulas of La Mesa, Calif., 7 and 5 to win the USGA girls' junior title, in South Hadley, Mass. She had tied for first in the 36-hole qualifying competition with a 151. Michelle is also the Florida girls' golf champion.

Kristi, a senior at J.H. Rose High, won her second consecutive girls' overall waterskiing title at the national championships meet, in West Palm Beach, Fla. Last year she won the girls' World Junior overall crown in Milan, Italy.

RADFORD, VA.
Brody, 13, struck out 54 batters in 21 innings and had an ERA of 0.29 as he led the 7-0 Radford Indians to the Montgomery County League title. He also hit .875 with 25 RBIs, 6 home runs and an on-base percentage of .913.

SPENCER, IOWA
Halsne, a freshman at the University of Nebraska, set three national high school softball records, with four-year totals of 45 homers, 168 RBIs and 38 doubles. She was all-state in basketball, softball, volleyball and track.
