JANIS DUPONT
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.
Hendrix, a 48-year-old third-grade teacher at the San Altos Elementary School, used a seven-iron to make a hole in one on the 100-yard 4th at the Pines Course of the Myrtlewood Golf Club in Myrtle Beach. It was Hendrix's first hole in one in 15 years of infrequent golf. Moments later, her mother, Janis, 72, a housewife and grandmother, used a five-wood for an ace on the same hole, her second on that hole in eight years. She also had a hole in one on a California course in 1977.
