Becky, a senior goalie, led Homewood-Floss-moor High to a 21-2 record and the state field hockey title, by allowing only six goals all season. In the state finals, a 1-0 OT win over Lake Forest, she gave up no goals and had 10 saves.

Cox, 53, the football coach at Leon High, broke the state record for career wins by a high school football coach when his Lions beat Shanks High of Quincy, 48-24, for his 259th victory. After 30 years, his record is 261-65-3.

Hall, a freshman on the American U soccer team, scored goals nine seconds apart in a 3-2 loss to George Washington. The goals are believed to have been the fastest two by a single player in organized soccer.

PENNINGTON GAP, VA.
Collier, a senior quarterback for Emory and Henry, threw three scoring passes in a 54-23 win over Maryville College to end his regular-season career with 80 such TD throws, nine more than the previous NCAA Division III record.

Robillard, 22, a paraplegic who works for a pharmaceutical firm, set world wheelchair racing records for the 800, 1,500, 5,000 and 10,000 meters. His 5,000 time of 13:21 lowered by 1:08 the mark held by Peter Trotters of Australia.

NEW YORK CITY
Radice, a junior at Fordham, won the Metropolitan Intercollegiate women's cross-country title by running 3.1 miles in Van Cortlandt Park in 18:15. Last season Radice averaged 23 points a game for the Lady Rams basketball team.
