Cihasky, 28, an architectural draftsman, broke his own course record by more than nine minutes in winning his second straight Wisconsin triathlon championship. He completed the 1.5-km swim, 40-km bike ride and 10-km run in 1:50:20.

BROOMFIELD, COLO.
Carol, a senior at Broom-field High, earned a 10 in the floor exercise at the University High Gymnastics Invitational in October. It was the first perfect high school gymnastics score in Colorado. Carol has since scored four more 10's.

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA.
Jagasich, 54, a foreign languages professor at Hampden-Sydney College, became the fourth-oldest person to swim the English Channel. He broke the record for his age group (50 and older) by completing the 26.5 miles in 12:26:00.

Freeland, 46, a publisher and a one handicapper, defeated Bill Brennan Jr. 8 and 7 to win his 18th consecutive club golf championship at the Old Warson Country Club. He won 72 straight matches en route to the titles.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MICH.
Dawn, a senior at Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett School, won her fourth state Class C-D girls' singles tennis title by beating Missy Castle-man of Birmingham Detroit Country Day 6-0, 6-0. Dawn has a varsity record of 111-5.
JAMAL JOHNSON
NEW LONDON, CONN.
Jamal, a 5'9", 175-pound senior running back, broke the state single-game rushing record by 16 yards when he galloped for 427 yards in New London High's 33-24 defeat of Ledyard High. He scored on runs of 1, 37, 46 and 66 yards.
