Shannon, a senior forward at Elk Horn-Kimballton High, scored a school-record 107 points in the Lady Danes' 133-52 six-to-a-side basketball victory over Shelby-Tennant High. Her total is the fourth highest in Iowa history.

Keith, 9, a forward for the Redskins in the Northwest Bergen Soccer Association, had 35 of his team's 53 goals in leading them to a 9-1 mark. Though on the average he played just over half of each game, he scored in all 10 games.

Jamie, a Hanover Area High halfback, ran for 1,367 yards to become the first Wyoming Valley Conference freshman to rush for 1,000 yards in a season. In a 29-22 defeat of Nanticoke Area High, he had a school-record 273 yards on 18 carries.

LAKE PARK, FLA.
Fontaine, 32, a ski school operator, surpassed the world water-skiing distance record by more than 16 miles when he traveled 1,321.16 miles along the Intracoastal Waterway. He took more than 46 hours, at an average speed of 30 mph.

OGDEN, UTAH
Nichole, an Ogden High junior, finished first and second, respectively, in the state 3A girls' singles tennis and cross-country championships. She is also on the Tigers' 3A-champion girls' basketball team and runs middle distances in track.

BUFFALO
Marcus, a senior guard at Burgard Vocational High, scored a school-record 60 points to lead the Bulldogs to a 115-61 basketball win over Lafayette in the season opener. He reset the mark with 80 points against City Honors.
