Bob Meighan, a 31-year-old tax consultant, and his wife, Candace, 30 and an accountant, swept the men's and the women's divisions in the New York Road Runners Club's 17th annual 10-mile run in Central Park in Manhattan. Bob's clocking of 51:16 was good enough to defeat John Kirchhof of Bergenfield, N.J., by 37 seconds. Candace, who had a time of 58:54. came in 24 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Marilyn Hulak-Cofnuk of Verona, N.J.

Craig, a senior at Cherry Creek High, won all 48 points in his quarterfinal match as he led the Bruins to their 18th straight district tournament tennis title. He lost only two games in three matches and, in three years of varsity tennis, is undefeated.

Rochelle, a senior setter and outside hitter at University High, was named Hawaii Prep Volleyball Player of the Year. She has led the Junior Rainbows to 67 consecutive match wins and to four state girls' championships in a row.

Gromlovits, 34, a salvage yard manager, shot a hole in one on the 4th hole at Rolling Meadows golf course and a month later rolled his third 300 game of the year, at Wildcat Lanes. His golf handicap is six and his bowling average is 212.

CITRUS HEIGHTS, CALIF.
Degler, 51, a former Indiana and California high school swimming champ, entered his first meet in 24 years and earned five gold medals at the World Senior Games. His times were all within 10 seconds of his high school bests.
