Ivan, a junior honors student at Plantation High, became the first U.S. boy to win the International Casablanca Cup junior tennis championship, in Mexico City. Past participants have included Ivan Lendl and Andres Gomez.

Jessica, a sophomore at Emerson High, became a six-time national junior cycling champion and won 35 senior races in 1988 alone. She's also the county girls' cross-country champion and plays guard on the Cavaliers' girls' basketball team.

Jason, now 8, defeated Kyle Beck of Lakewood, Calif., to win the seven-year-old age group Kumite (fighting) class national championship in his first year of karate competition. He's undefeated in 16 career matches.

Priscilla, a Kirkman Tech senior who was all-state last year in girls' basketball and volleyball, is now averaging 27.4 points and 18 rebounds for the 16-6 Lady Golden Hawks and had 305 kills for the 18-9 volleyball team.

Bill, a senior at Bishop Kearney High who lost the lower half of his right leg four years ago, scored his first varsity hockey goal as the Kings beat Brighton High 10-6. Bill, a left wing on Kearney's third line, also has three assists.

PIEDMONT, CALIF.
Jordan, 51, an assistant vice-president of a bank, won the 100-meter backstroke at the World Masters Swim Championships in 1:28.2, which was 11.4 seconds off her fifth-place time at the 1952 Olympics.
