LaCrosse, a junior lacrosse attackman, scored an East Coast Conference-record 10 goals to lead Hofstra to a 16-14 win over Virginia. A transfer from Herkimer (N.Y.) Community College, LaCrosse was 1988 J.C. Player of the Year.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H.
Jessie, a senior at Portsmouth High, won her second consecutive New Hampshire girls' high school diving championship. Her 192.05 points established a state girls' record, surpassing the mark of 183.90, which she set in 1988.
DERRICK LOVE
SEVERN, MD.
Derrick, a senior at Meade Senior High, won the 55-and 200-meter dashes at the National Scholastic Indoor track and field championships, in Annapolis, Md. His time of 21.59 in the 200 is the fastest high school indoor time ever.
KATIE HEARL
JACKSONVILLE, ARK.
Katie, 12, set an Arkansas state record by catching a six-pound nine-ounce lake trout on the Little Red River near Little Rock. The previous mark of three pounds five ounces was set in January by Kelly Coble of Conway, Ark.

IRVING, TEXAS
David, a senior at Irving High, won a state wrestling championship for the 13th straight year, pinning David Quirino of Amarillo Tascosa High for the 160-pound title. David, who won his first crown at age five, was 125-2 in high school.

LAKEWOOD, CALIF.
Lisa, a senior for St. Joseph's High, pitched three consecutive perfect games in softball to lead the Jesters over Simi Valley (1-0), Thousand Oaks (3-0) and Bishop Montgomery (7-0). She has had 12 perfect games in her career.
