Whitton and McAllister, both juniors at Southwestern Louisiana, pitched back-to-back perfect games to lead the Lady Cajuns soft ball team to a doubleheader sweep of Southeastern Louisiana. In the opener, Whitton struck out 14 during a 7-0 victory. It was Whitton's third perfect game of the season and ran her record to 11-7, while reducing her earned run average to 0.47. In the nightcap, McAllister fanned 10 in a 5-0 win that made her 10-5 on the season and cut her ERA to 0.67.

WEST LAWN, PA.
John, a junior at Wilson High, won the Berks County Interscholastic bowling championship with a league-record eight-game average of 245.6. This season he set league marks for average (230.2) and high series (815) and had four 300s.
J.M. RYERSON
GREAT FALLS, MONT.
J.M., now 11, set four state age-group (9-10) swim records while winning eight events at the Montana short course meet. His marks came in the 50-yard butterfly (31.82), 100 fly (1:13.52), 100 IM (1:12.78) and 200 IM (2:35.49).

BOULDER, COLO.
Mehl, 75, set five women's age-group (75-79) world records at the U.S. Masters Indoor Track and Field Championships. Her marks came at 200 (46.58), 400 (1:45.59), 800 (4:06.55), 1,500 (7:43.3) and 3,000 (15:53.5) meters.
TRACY MURRAY
GLENDORA, CALIF.
Tracy, a 6'8" senior forward for Glendora High, led the nation's high school basketball players in scoring with a state-record 44.3-point average. He also set state marks for points in a season (1,505) and points in a career (3,053).
