Mark, 8, a shortstop in the Venice T-ball league, went 30 for 31 for the Reds during a 12-game stretch. He finished the season with a .968 batting average, 57 RBIs, 26 runs, eight triples and 12 home runs, seven of which were grand slams.

KATE WISE
HUNTSVILLE, ALA.
Kate, an eighth-grader-to-be at the Randolph School, got five gold medals at the Class 2A high school track and field meet. She won the 800 meters, the 1,600 and the triple jump, and anchored the Raiders' two victorious relay teams.

MILWAUKEE
Marc, a recent graduate of Nicolet High, won his fourth consecutive state high school tennis title with a 6-3, 6-1 defeat of Nicolet teammate Andy Paley. He is only the second player to win the state singles championship four times.

LISA RUSCETTA
WESTMINSTER, COLO.
Lisa, 18, lifted a total of 620 pounds to triumph by 55 pounds in the 114-pound division at the girls' state powerlifting championships in Denver. She deadlifted 265, bench-pressed 125 and squatted 230, a personal best.

FELBERT JONES
OWINGS, MD.
Felbert, a senior-to-be at Northern High, threw two no-hitters and a one-hitter in his last three pitching appearances for the Patriots this season. He finished with 27 consecutive scoreless innings and had 40 strikeouts in his final 22 innings.

DON DRISKILL
CLARKSVILLE, MD.
Driskill, a 38-year-old police detective, won the men's foil title at the Maryland State Games for the fourth straight year. A medalist at the 1982 Olympic Festival, he beat Bob Edgington of Baltimore, to finish the tournament undefeated.
