Janet, 9, defeated her twin sister, Joyce, in two tiebreakers in the girls' 14-and-under final of the Bethlehem City Junior Tennis Tournament, at Sand Island. The twins, fourth-graders at Spring Garden Elementary School, have played each other in six tournament finals, with Janet winning every title. The 1988 girls' Middle States Tennis Tournament champion, Janet has won 10 of the 12 United States Tennis Association-sanctioned tournaments in which she has competed.

Tyler, 10, set the 10-and-under U.S. age-group record in the 50-meter butterfly (31.16) and won nine gold medals at the Florida Swimming Long Course Junior Olympics, in Largo. He also set two other state marks in the meet.
HIGHLAND PARK, CALIF.
William, 10, won the 100-, 200- and 400-meter races in the bantam boys' (10-and-under) division at the U.S. Junior Olympic track and field championships. He holds the national age-group record in the 400 (58.76) and 800 (2:19.00).
Jenny, 16, won her second consecutive Goose Lake Triathlon in Anchorage, beating Trudy Branderhorst, 37, also of Anchorage, by 1:38:00. She completed the 2-km swim, the 30-km bike ride and the 8-km run in 2:04:49.
Kellis, 52, a shoe salesman, pitched a perfect game as Hopkins Chevrolet-Oldsmobile defeated Growler's Pub 12-0 in the Twilight Slo-Pitch Softball League. He went 3 for 3 in the game and finished the season with a .520 batting average.
