SARAH COLLAR
SEYMOUR, WIS.
Sarah, 16, lifted a total of 750 pounds to triumph by 200 pounds in the 139-pound division at the Badger State Games. She benched 165, squatted 255 and deadlifted 330. In addition, she won the Wisconsin Women's Open (760-pound total).

RYAN BARRY
VISTA, CALIF.
Ryan, 12, won the 10-12 age group all-around title by .5 of a point at the California U.S. Gymnastics Federation state championships. He also placed first in the horizontal bar and won his third straight state floor-exercise title.

PETEY SMITH
NEWPORT, ORE.
Smith, 65, set world freestyle records at 200, 400 and 1,500 meters in the women's 65-69 age division at the U.S. Masters Swimming Long Course National Championship, in Grand Forks, N.Dak. She also won the 50 and 100 freestyle events.

LONNIE LEAK
WINGATE, N.C.
Lonnie, a senior running back at Marshville Forest Hills High, rushed 17 times for 293 yards in the Yellow Jackets' 62-7 victory over Mount Pleasant High. He scored on TD runs of 3, 12, 63 and 74 yards in just over two quarters of play.

STEPHANIE CORDELL
BURNSIDE, KY.
Cordell, a sophomore at the University of Kentucky, won five medals at the Bluegrass State Games in Lexington. She finished first in the shot put and javelin, second in the high jump and 110-meter hurdles, and third in the triple jump.

ANDY BLAIR
TROY, ALA.
Andy, 12, a righthanded pitcher for the Cubs of the Troy Dixie Youth League, threw seven no-hitters and a pair of one-hitters in nine appearances this season. He struck out 127 of 184 batters and allowed only two hits in 51 innings.
