Dean, 11, won the U.S. 12-and-under chess title for the second year in a row. by defeating Daniel Benjamin. 12. of Dresher. Pa., and qualified for the All-America chess team for ages 6-18 in 1988 and '89 with ratings of 1,896 and 1,992.

HONESDALE, PA.
Dyke, 46. won the Honesdale Golf Club women's crown. 4 and 3. over Veronica Gardas, and boat Marge Neipert 3 and 2 for the Paupack Hills club women's title to stay unbeaten in seven years of championship match play.

DUNCAN FALIS, OHIO
Mark, 17, set four American Powerlifting Federation world records to take the 114-pound title (ages 16-17) and broke them to win at the Senior Nationals, bench-pressing 187.4, deadlifting 407.8 and squatting 391.3 for a total of 986.5.

MINNEAPOLIS
Busch, 18, a striker for Benilde-St. Margaret's High, set a national girls' high school soccer career goal-scoring record of 203. surpassing the 1982 mark of 177. She had 30 goals and nine assists for the 8-8-2 Red Knights this season.
RAYMOND HILL
WAKEFIELD, MICH.
Hill, 70, won his second senior world horseshoe-pitching title, by defeating Glen Henton 40-38 in a sudden-death playoff. Hill had a ringer percentage of 78.0. In 1987 he won the event with a record tournament percentage of 76.1.
CHANDA RUBIN
LAFAYETTE, LA.
Chanda, 13, won the U.S. girls' 14-and-under national tennis title by defeating Tiffany Gates of Grandville. Mich., 6-4. 6-0. Last year she won the girls' 12-and-under national title and the Junior Orange Bowl girls' 12-and-under.
