Jeff, a senior goaltender at St. Thomas Aquinas-Mercy High, had five consecutive shutouts in the 20-4-6 Falcons' five-game run to the state Class 1A-3A soccer title. He had 18 shutouts for the season and a school-record career total of 42.

Hannah, a freshman at East Hampton High, defeated Noreen McDonald of Westhampton Beach High 6-2, 6-4 to run her match record to 12-0 and lead the 12-0 Bonackers to the League Seven and Conference Four titles.

Adrian, 19, established a World Powerlifting Congress teenage world record by bench-pressing 330 pounds while competing in the 165-pound class for ages 18-19 at a WPC meet. He broke the old mark, set in 1988, by five pounds.

Debbie, a junior at Rolling Meadows High, set the Division AA regular-season girls' state record for kills with 25 in the 15-2, 11-15, 15-5 defeat of Fremd High that gave the 40-3 Mustangs the Mid-Suburban volleyball championship.

Santiago, a Franklin High senior quarterback, completed 23 of 35 passes for 313 yards and five touchdowns as the Panthers defeated Eagle Rock High 42-0. He broke a state high school record with 45 TD passes and set a new mark of 52.

Dominique, 13, won the vault, floor exercise and beam events and placed second on the uneven bars to win the all-around title for the second year in a row with a score of 38.45, at the Junior Orange Bowl Gymnastics Invitational.
