Ryan, 9, a forward for the Jaguars of the Olathe Soccer Club, scored at least one goal in each of the Jaguars' games in leading them to a 7-0 record in the Johnson County Soccer Association. He had a total of 16 goals for the season.

MEGAN SMITH
GLEN MILLS, PA.
Smith, a senior-to-be and a lacrosse attack at Penn State, led Division I and snapped the school's single-season record with 51 assists this year. She broke the mark of 38 set last year by Lee Clough and is 41 assists short of the Lady Lion career mark.

BATTLE MOUNTAIN, NEV.
Travis, a recent graduate of Battle Mountain High, won his fourth straight state wrestling championship by defeating Dewey Shattuck of Tonopah High, 6-0, to win the 119-pound crown. He finished high school with a 103-18 record.

NIKKI FRIDAY
LEXINGTON, N.C.
Nikki, who recently graduated from Lexington High, had the fifth-best triple jump ever by a schoolgirl, with a leap of 42'2½" in a sectional meet at East Rowan High. She also set a 3-A record and won the state title with a jump of 42'0".

FRANK BALDASSARE
WYCKOFF, N.J.
Frank, a sophomore-to-be at Ramapo High, won the 800-meter, mile and two-mile runs to lead the Raiders to a North Bergen Interscholastic League track and field title. He also ran a 4:18.4 mile—the fastest ever by a freshman in the state—in a county meet.

SAN DIEGO
Isler, 26, skippered the victorious J/24-class sailboat while representing the U.S. in the first annual Women's World Match Racing Championships, off Portofino, Italy. She finished ahead of competitors who came from five other countries.
