Davis, 19, set a women's state record of 300 pounds in the deadlift and won the Georgia women's powerlifting championship. Previously, she set a world record in the American Federation's Teenage Nationals by bench-pressing 176 pounds.

MAUI, HAWAII
Krueger, 51, won four gold medals and set two age-group (50-54) meet records in swimming at the World Senior Games. He won the 50-, 100-, 200- and 500-yard freestyle events with times of 26.87, 58.80, 2:15.11 and 6:31.38, respectively.

MERIDIAN, MISS.
Hart, 38, won her ninth state women's amateur golf title by defeating Samantha Mayo 7 and 6 at the Diamond Head Country Club in Bay St. Louis. She had shared the record of eight titles with Agnes Fitzhugh and the LPGA's Mary Mills.

FLORENCE, KY.
John, a senior tailback at Boone County High, had 1,666 yards on 206 carries and 28 TDs through eight games this season. Six of his touchdowns and 331 yards came in a 62-13 victory over Trotwood-Madison High of Trotwood, Ohio.

RUSH, N.Y.
Felicia, 15, won her fifth straight title in the under-17 girls' foil category at the U.S. Fencing Association's North American Youth Circuit meet by defeating Carin Wolf of Buffalo Grove, Ill., 5-2, 5-1. Felicia also was first in the under-17 èpèe division.

EL PASO
Castillo, 35, won each of the USTA National Men's 35-and-over grand slam events in doubles by winning the clay court, hard-court, grass court and indoor championships. He is the first player to accomplish this feat with four different partners.
