Jim, a 66-year-old retired manager of Midwestern Sears stores, and Jo, 66, his wife, won the men's and the women's golf club championships for the second year in a row at the Stuart Yacht and Country Club in Stuart, Fla. In this year's three-day match play Jo won the final 3 and 1 over Barbara Morgan while Jim finished 2 up to defeat Michael Curran. Last year, Jo beat out Irene Swanson by six strokes, and Jim won by finishing one up over Ron Allison,

Bart, a senior at Gallup High, was first in the state class 4-A boys' cross-country championship with a time of 16:15 for the 3.1-mile course in Albuquerque. Bart helped the Bengals to their eighth state title in a row.
Lauren, 13, the only girl on the 20-member wrestling team at Kinawa Middle School, finished the season with a perfect 16-0 in the 95-pound class. Lauren was the first Kinawa wrestler in five years to go undefeated.
Brian, a junior on the Waterville High hockey team, set a national high school season assist record by scoring his 54th point on a pass in a 6-3 win over North Yarmouth Academy. He had 57 assists for the season.
Belknap, a junior at Yale, won the U.S. Women's Intercollegiate Squash Racquets Association title when, after competing in a field of 64, she defeated Jordanna Fraiberg of Harvard in the final, 15-8, 15-8, 15-4.
