DiFazio, a sophomore at Miami-Dade Community College, South, won the one-and three-meter diving titles at the national junior college championships. He went undefeated (15-0) in two years of juco competition.

TRENTON, N.J.
Cyborski, a junior guard at Delaware, converted 74 of 79 free throws this season to establish an NCAA women's record for foul-shooting percentage (93.7%). She went 31 for 31 during one stretch, to set a school mark.

Matt Panetta
ELMONT, N.Y.
Panetta, a senior lacrosse attackman at Johns Hopkins, had three goals and four assists as the Blue Jays beat defending national champ Syracuse 18-12. Through last week, he had a team-leading 36 points for the season.

Ann Deen
JACKSONVILLE, ILL.
Deen, a senior at the College of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill., won her second NAIA/American Volleyball Coaches All-America Player of the Year award. She holds the NAIA women's record for career kills (2,433).

Ed Burns
ARLINGTON, MASS.
Burns, 70, directed the Arlington High hockey team (16-2) to its 38th visit to the state tournament. During his 42 years, Arlington has won 33 New England, Eastern Massachusetts, state and league titles.

Maryann Baribault
LA CANADA, CALIF.
Maryann, 12, became the youngest slider ever named to the U.S. Junior Development luge team when, in her first season of racing, she finished eighth in the women's 19-and-under age group at the U.S. Junior Nationals.
