Robyn, 12, put together a 14-3 record with 10 no-hitters in her first season as a pitcher for Edina Green, a fast-pitch softball team for girls age 12 or under. In addition, she batted .418 and stole 44 bases in 46 attempts.
Michael Pirozzola
LEVITTOWN, PA.
Michael, 9, won the Grand National Freestyle Wrestling Championship for 9-and 10-year-olds, in Battle Creek, Mich. In his final match he defeated Michael Wahoff, of Fairfield, Ohio, by a score of 11-3.
Dee Brown
ST. LOUIS
Dee, 12, broke the U.S. record for her age group (11-12) in the 400-meter freestyle, at a Junior Olympics meet in Mission Viejo, Calif. Dee's time of 4:19.48 surpasses the old mark by 3.38 and the boys' record by 1.32.
Mark Bommelje
ORLANDO, FLA.
Mark, 16, won the state 16-and-under tennis championship as an unseeded player and did not lose a set in his five matches. He defeated the No. 2 seed, Adam Baron, of Plantation, 7-5, 6-1 in the final.
Betty Vosburgh
ATLANTA
Vosburgh, 60, set a world record for the 60-64 age group in the 300-meter hurdles at the Masters Track and Field meet. She also broke U.S. marks in the 100, 200, 400 and 800, the 80-meter hurdles and the long jump.
Armando Avina
MANTECA, CALIF.
Avina, a recent graduate of East Union High, kicked field goals of 51 and 52 yards to lead the North to a 14-0 win over the South in the California Shrine High School All-Star Football Classic, at the Rose Bowl.
