Rosenbaum, 75, a professor emeritus at Wesleyan University, won the national 75-and-older squash championship by beating defending titlist John Weissenfluh, 80, of Rockville, Md., 16-13, 15-10 and 15-9.

LINCOLNWOOD, ILL.
Danielle, 11, and Misty, who recently turned 14, won four individual events at the Ice Skating Institute of America girls' national championships. Danielle took home two gold medals, in footwork and music interpretation for 11-year-olds, as well as the gold in the 9-12 age group's spotlight event, in which the skater uses props and costumes. Misty was first in the stroking event for 13-year-olds, in which a skater is judged by her position, speed and edges.

Terry, 15, a 6'5", 240-pound boxer, won the super heavyweight crown at the USA/ABF Junior Olympics. He defeated William Kyle of New Mexico by a TKO in the first round of the championship bout.

Janae Mitchell
RICHMOND, CALIF.
Janae, 11, won the girls' 11-and-under age group gold medals in the 100-meter sprint (13.2) and the 200 (26.8) at the TAC/Junior Olympic Pacific meet. Janae won 17 straight 100-meter races this season.

Nick Paczkowski
KENOSHA, WIS.
Nick, 17, won the American Powerlifting Federation's 148-pound title (age 16-17) for the fourth straight year by squatting 452 pounds, bench-pressing 193 and deadlifting 446 for a 1,091 total.
