Werle, 47, coached the girls' volleyball team at San Francisco University High to its 100th win in 101 matches. His Red Devils' lone loss was to Crystal Springs Uplands School, coached by his wife, Cathy.

English, 49, a car dealer and a three-time Indianapolis women's golf champion, was inducted into the Indiana Golf Hall of Fame. She has already been inducted into the Kentucky Bowling Hall of Fame.

LONGWOOD, FLA.
Jennifer, 10, won the IronKids Triathlon national title in the 10-and-under girls' division by completing a 100-meter swim, a 5K bike race and a 1K run in 18:23. She won all 16 events she entered this year.
Marc Edwards
NORWOOD, OHIO
Marc, a junior tailback at Norwood High, rushed for 343, 310 and 306 yards in consecutive games against Winton Woods, Northwest and Bacon high schools. In 10 games, he has run for 2,064 yards on 259 carries.
Bart Beardsley
BRISTOL, CONN.
Beardsley, 41, a pitcher for the Bristol Fradette Agency of the Connecticut Men's Senior League, helped lead the team to a 34-2 record and its third straight state title. He amassed a 37-2 record in three seasons.
Lisa Rowe
DOUGLASSVILLE, PA.
Rowe, a junior forward for the No. 4-ranked Maryland field hockey team, led the Terrapins to the ACC's regular-season championship with a conference-leading 23 points. She was named a regional All-America.
