DUBLIN, GA.
Gerald, a senior wrestler at West Laurens High, won his 101st consecutive match and his third straight state crown. He was the 1990 and '91 champion at 160 pounds, and this year he prevailed at 171.

Ginger Pierson
PORTLAND, ORE.
Pierson, a 46-year-old teacher, set two women's world masters short-course swimming records in the 45 49 age division. She established the 100-and 200-meter breaststroke marks, in 1:24.87 and 3:04.75.

Danyelle Wood
ROCHESTER, N.H.
Danyelle, a sophomore at Spaulding High, broke the girls' state high school indoor record for the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:11.05 at the state meet. She also won the 1,500 championship, in 4:53.2.

Danny Fortson
ALTOONA, PA.
Danny, a 6'8" sophomore center at Altoona High, scored 60 points and had 21 rebounds in a 74-61 defeat of Bishop Guilfoyle High. On the season, Danny averaged 29.5 points and 17.0 rebounds per game.

Kevin Beach
ELLICOTT CITY, MD.
Beach, a junior lacrosse attackman for Loyola (Md.), scored nine goals and had nine assists in wins over Rutgers, Penn and Massachusetts. Last season he was the Greyhounds' leading scorer.

Steve Reich
WASHINGTON, CONN.
Reich, a junior lefthander for Army, struck out 17 batters in a seven-inning 5-2 win over Air Force. Thus Reich, a 1990 All-America, tied the West Point single-game mark for whiffs, set in nine innings in 1960.
