Pappas, a junior golfer a Rollins College, won the women's title at the National Collegiate Golf Coaches Association Small College Championships for the third year in a row. She had a 224 for 54 holes.

Austin, 70, a retired government real estate appraiser, won the 70-plus singles competition at the U. S. Handball Association National Championships by defeating Joe Joiner, 70, of Austin, Texas, 21-20, 21-20 in the finals.

Joy, 17, won the girls' tennis title at the Peach State Junior Invitational and the women's crowns at both the statewide Rackette's Tournament and the NBCA Hall of Fame Tournament in one week.

Kelly, Cahilly and Deardorff, seniors and the top three distance runners at Bucknell, led the Bison to 10 Patriot League team titles, four in cross-country and six in track and field, during their four years together. Kelly, the IC4A 10,000-meter champion, graduated with a 3.9 grade point average in electrical engineering and was named a second-team Academic All-America. Cahilly, a qualifier for both the indoor and outdoor 10,000-meter IC4A championships, had the highest average in this year's senior class, a 4.0 in economics and international relations. Deardorff, the conference cross-country champ, earned first-team GTE Academic All-America honors with a 3.9 average in a double major of biology and chemistry.
