Arendsen, 33, and Reinalda, 34, are the top two pitchers for the Raybestos Brakettes fast-pitch softball team, which was 45-0 at week's end. Arendsen, a righty and softball coach at Yale, is 5-0 with a 0.00 ERA. Over 15 seasons she is 337-26 with 265 shutouts, including 79 no-hitters and 43 perfect games. Reinalda, also a righthander, is 13-0 with a 0.00 ERA. She is 402-31 with a 0.36 ERA in her 17 seasons.

Don Driskill
CLARKSVILLE, MD.
Driskill, 41, a Washington, D.C., police detective, won the Maryland State Games foil title for the seventh year in a row when he outfenced Rich Millhiser, 22, of Baltimore 5-4 to finish the Games undefeated.

Terrance Cauthen
TRENTON, N.J.
Terrance, 16, defeated Humberto Zubia, 16, of Odessa, Texas, 5-0 to win the 125-pound division in the Junior Olympic boxing championships. He prevailed in all of his matches by unanimous decisions.

Candace Mason
NEVADA, MO.
Candace, 16, won the AAU Junior Olympic heptathlon by more than 1,000 points after winning six of the seven events. She also won the 1992 AAU junior indoor high jump title with a national-record height of 5'6½".

David McCubbins
MONROVIA, IND.
McCubbins, 18, outwrestled Ben Nelson of Plymouth, Minn., 7-3 for the 178-pound Greco-Roman junior national title. He also beat Mike Quaglio of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., 11-10, for the freestyle title.
