Hamilton, 43, won his 11th golf championship at the Greenwich (Conn.) Country Club, which is celebrating its centennial year. He also has won five titles each at the Merion (Pa.) and Garden City (N.Y.) golf clubs.
Jody Radkewich
HUDSON, OHIO
Jody, 16, won the girls' 15-to-17 age-group national triathlon by more than eight minutes, winning each of the three stages. She swam 1.5 kilometers in 20:17, biked 40K in 1:03:47 and ran 10K in 42:38.
Kenny Shaw
HIGH POINT, N.C.
Kenny, a senior running back at High Point Andrews High, gained 332 yards on 23 carries, including touchdown runs of 23, 72, 28 and 24 yards, to lead the Red Raiders in beating Burlington Williams 13-16.
Kevin Grondin
HAMPTON, N.H.
Grondin, 36, won the men's senior shortboard title at the U.S. amateur surfing championships at Hawaii's Ala Moana Beach. He surfs mostly in New Hampshire, which has only 17 miles of coastline.
Eleanor Quackenbush
SALEM, ORE.
Quackenbush, 73, a racquetball instructor and grandmother of two, won her second consecutive women's 70-and-over world racquetball title by beating Zelda Friedland, 82, of Albuquerque, 11-0, 11-0, 11-5.
Rudy De Los Santos
EAGLE PASS, TEXAS
Rudy, 12, won the 800-and 1,500-meter runs in the 11- to-12-year-old age-group at the AAU Junior Olympics. He ran the 1,500 in 4:37.20 and set a national age-group record in the 800 with a clocking of 2:07.84.
