Bryan Cook
MONTCLAIR, N.J.
Bryan, a junior goalie on the Montclair Kimberley Academy hockey team, stopped 66 shots on goal during a 3-2 upset of Don Bosco Prep of Ramsey. He made 24 saves in each of the first two periods before turning away 18 shots in the third. This season he averaged 38.2 saves per game for the Cougars.

Annette Hoffman
McCLURE, PA.
Hoffman, a 5'11" senior center on the Juniata College women's basketball team, hit 19 of 19 free throws and scored 33 points during an 80-75 defeat of Waynesburg. She converted 40 of 40 free throw attempts during a four-game stretch in January and finished the season averaging 29.2 points and 10.1 rebounds for the Indians.

Jackie Chambers
GREENVILLE, S.C.
Chambers, 41, a two-time U.S. drug-free powerlifting champion, set an age 40-44 world record of 1,753.3 pounds to win a 1992 World Drug Free Powerlifting Association title in the 275-pound class. He established world-competition marks in both the bench press (473.7 pounds) and the deadlift (650.2).

Madonna Buder
SPOKANE
Buder, 62 and a Catholic nun for 37 years, surpassed her own women's age-group records at both the Canadian and the Hawaiian Ironman triathlons in 1992. Her time of 13:19:02 in the Hawaii race was three hours faster than that of the second-place woman finisher in the 60-64 age group. Buder is also a two-time world champion in this category.

Cindy Jansen
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CALIF.
Jansen, 43, whose occupation is deodorizing new cars, drove her 1990 Firebird to seven wins in a 13-race series to win the season championship for Solo II drivers of the Cal Club Region of the Sports Car Club of America. She was the first woman in the Cal Club's 37-year history to compete in an open-class season championship.

Aaron Simpson
WELLTON, ARIZ.
Aaron, a senior wrestler at Antelope High, beat Adrian Carrasco of Morenci High 20-4 in the 171-pound class final to win his fourth state wrestling title. In 143 career matches he recorded 103 pins and lost only one match, that by one point. He is also a former state triple-jump champion, having leaped 43 feet as a sophomore.
