Norm Frank
ROCHESTER, N.Y.
Frank, 62, who owns a lawn-care service, broke the world record for most marathons completed, by finishing the Buffalo Marathon—his 525th—in four hours, 41 minutes on May 1. The old record of 524 was set by Sy Mah of Toledo in 1988. As of last Friday, Frank had completed 527 marathons.
Tiffany Gooden
FORT WAYNE, IND.
Tiffany, a senior forward at Snider High, was named Parade national player of the year, USA Today's, Indiana player of the year and the state's Miss Basketball. She averaged 29 points and nine rebounds this season and had 2,198 points during her varsity career. She also has a 4.0 academic average.
Cas Munoz
TUOLUMNE, CALIF.
Munoz, 62, a history teacher and the coach of Summerville High's baseball team, guided the Bears to a 5-3 win over Mother Lode Christian High for his 500th victory over 36 years of coaching. Munoz, a former centerfielder for Cal, finished the season with a career coaching record of 504-370.
Elizabeth Bauer
BRANDON, FLA.
Beth, 14 and a two handicapper, earned her first American Junior Golf Association victory by winning the Taylor Made Pine Isle Junior Classic for girls 13 to 18. She fired rounds of 73-77-150 to defeat Robin Cook of Pace, Fla., and Kathryn Cusick of Jacksonville by two strokes.
Milton Campbell
ATLANTA
Milton, a senior at Douglass High, set a high school state record in the 400 (46.67) and won the 800 to lead the Astros to their first state title, at the outdoor track and field championships. In addition, Milton, who also won the 400 as a junior, was the anchor on the victorious 4 X 100 and 4 X 400 relay teams.
Evan Coluccio
MIDDLEBURG, VA.
Evan, 6, was the champion pony hunter in his age group, 18-and-under, for both small and medium ponies at the Palm Beach Polo and Country Club Horse Show. He usually competes in the small pony division, aboard Rainbow Connection, and leads the national circuit in that category.
