Natalie Lacuesta
SKOKIE, ILL.
Natalie, 12, won the gold in three of the four events in junior competition as well as the junior all-around title at the rhythmic gymnastics nationals. Her scores of 9.4 in the ball and 9.25 in both the rope and the ribbon qualified her for a spot on the 1994 junior national team.

Aaron Lewis
FALMOUTH, MAINE
Aaron, an eighth-grader at Falmouth Middle School, won the Maine high school individual chess championship for the second time when he defeated Noble High sophomore John Gaspar in the finals. In seven years of competition, Aaron has won five state school titles.

Melissa Price
KINGSBURG, CALIF.
Melissa, a junior at Kingsburg High, cleared 11'2" at the state high school championships, setting a national high school girls pole vault record. She has been competing in the event, which the California Interscholastic Federation approved on a trial basis for girls two years ago, for only one year.

Anne Marie Letko
GLEN GARDNER, N.J.
Letko, 25, became the first American since 1978 to win the 6.2-mile Advil Mini Marathon when she beat Portugal's Conceicao Ferreira by seven seconds, in 31:25. Letko, the Association of Road Racing Athletes' circuit winner in '93, is ranked eighth in the world and second in the U.S. in the 10K.

Andrè Scott
COLLEGE PARK, MD.
Scott, a freshman on the University of Maryland's table tennis team and a four-time U.S. wheelchair champion in the sport, finished with a 12-2 record while competing against able-bodied athletes at the college nationals. His performance helped the Terrapins clinch their second consecutive team title

Alison Fealey
CINCINNATI
Alison, a junior at St. Ursula Academy, led the Bulldogs' girls swimming team to the state crown for the second straight year, with wins in the 200-yard IM and the 100 breaststroke. She also qualified for the U.S. nationals, at which she was sixth in the 100- and 200-meter breaststrokes.
