Justin Fuente
TULSA
Justin, a 6'3", 210-pound senior quarterback at Union High, threw for 2,934 yards and 32 TDs on 178-of-319 passing to lead the Redskins to a berth in the state title game this season. In his three-year varsity career he completed 496 of 1,002 passes, good for 6,104 yards and 65 TDs.
Daunte Culpepper
OCALA, FLA.
Daunte, a senior quarterback at Vanguard High, set a school record for passing yardage in a season (3,070) and in a career (6,107). He also threw for 57 TDs in his three varsity seasons, including 31 in 1994, while leading the Knights to the 5A state finals and earning Florida Player of the Year honors.
Gerald Brence
PLANO, TEXAS
Brence, 35, the football coach and athletic director at Plano High, led the Wildcats to a 28-7 victory over Katy High in the Texas 5A Division I championship game. Plano had finished second in 1993. The title was the Wildcats' seventh state crown since 1965. In the last three years Brence has a 33-8-1 mark.
Charles Woodson
FREMONT, OHIO
Charles, a senior running back at Ross High and three-time all-stater, was named Ohio's 1994 Player of the Year. He rushed for a school-record 2,028 yards and 32 TDs on 218 carries in his senior season. He is also the Little Giants' career rushing leader (3,861 yards) and scoring champion (466 points).
Erik Marsh
HELLERTOWN, PA.
Marsh, a senior tailback at Lafayette College, rushed for 4,834 yards in his career to become the fourth-most prolific rusher in Division I-AA history; his 5,783 all-purpose yards rank fifth alltime in I-AA. He was named co-MVP of the Patriot League in '94 and was honorable mention All-America in '93.
Andrew Slater
RICHMOND
Andrew, a senior at the Collegiate School, became the first athlete in the Virginia Prep League to be named all-conference in both football and soccer in the same season. As a football punter he averaged 43.0 yards a kick; as a soccer goalkeeper he had a 0.59 goals-against average.
