Christie Brinkley has seen the swimsuit issue's highs and lows.
One year she dangled 40 feet in the air from a spinnaker;
another, she was photographed 35 feet underwater. She was also
the first model to three-peat on the cover, appearing in 1979,
'80 and '81.

"Being on SI's cover puts a name to your face," says Brinkley,
who is herself a photographer, as if her face needed a name.
