STEPHANIE
Stephanie Seymour was never inclined to wait for success to find
her. At age 14--armed with an envelope containing the $15 fee and
two photos of herself--she entered a modeling contest. Her
victory brought her a trip from Poway, Calif., to New York City,
a modeling contract and a flock of fans. One was SI swimsuit
editor Jule Campbell, who worked with Seymour on shoots in 1988,
'89 and '91. "She's just special," Campbell says. It's hard to
argue.
