RECEIVING LINE

WITH 63 catches for 1,016 yards through 12 games, Jeff Graham is
the first Bear receiver to reach the 1,000-yard plateau since
Dick Gordon in 1970. Now, after going 24 seasons without a
1,000-yard receiver, Chicago will most likely have two in 1995.
Fellow wideout Curtis Conway needs only 128 yards in the Bears'
final four games to join Graham, in what has become the year of
the receiver in the NFC Central. Five players have reached the
1,000-yard mark, and two others are on pace to do so. Since the
NFL merger in 1970, no division has had more than six 1,000-yard
receivers in a season.
