Warm As Toast

At the end of a long, cold day of negotiating moguls on the
slopes, many a skier has groused, "They can put a man on the
moon, so why can't someone make a boot that will keep my feet
warm?" Now, thanks to the ingenuity of the same folks who
challenged the final frontier, it is possible to have toasty
tootsies in frigid environs.

Nordica's Next Exopower 9.0 boots ($495) for men and women
feature Outlast Temperature Regulation, a layer of material
originally developed for NASA to use in shuttle space suits.
Outlast is coated on a layer of foam inside the boots and
continually allows the boots to absorb warmth generated by the
feet, store it and then redistribute the warmth when the
temperature of the feet drops. So even if your moves on the
mountain are wrong, your feet will feel right.
