The Standings

By winning all their games from June 18 through July 3, the
Padres set a team record for consecutive victories, with 14.
Though impressive, San Diego's streak still fell 12 wins shy of
the major league standard set by the 1916 New York Giants. Here
are the 10 teams with the longest team-record winning streaks
along with evidence suggesting that such a streak bodes well for
a team's chances of making it to the postseason.
