Lacrosse Shootout with 15 goals in the five-game tournament, including four in the 6-5 championship-game victory over Team New Hampshire.

COLOR PHOTO: EYD KAZERY Rett Crowder, Jackson, Miss. Golf Crowder, 29, a stockbroker, won the state Amateur and Mid-Amateur titles for the second consecutive year. He also shot a 14-under 58 at the Country Club of Jackson in May and has received a sponsor's exemption to play in the PGA Tour's Southern Farm Bureau Classic.

COLOR PHOTO: W.T. HARRINGTON Sanya Richards, Pembroke Pines, Fla. Track and Field Sanya, 14, set girls' age 13-14 Junior Olympic records in the 100 and 200 meters. She also anchored her 4x100 relay team to a Junior Olympic age-group mark. As a freshman at St. Thomas Aquinas High, Sanya set state records in winning the 1999 state 5A 100 and 200 titles.

Soccer Hope, 18, made 11 saves in the final for her third shutout in three starts as goaltender to lead the U.S. 18-and-under team to the women's gold medal at the Pan Am Games. As a forward she spearheaded Richland High to the girls' 4A state title. She will play for Washington this fall.

COLOR PHOTO: DAVID DUROCHIK Laura Granville, Chicago Tennis Laura, 18, won the girls' 18-and-under national tennis title for the second straight year to become the first repeat champion since Tracy Austin in 1977 and '78. She's also a two-time winner of the Maureen Connolly Brinker Award as the nation's outstanding junior girl player.

Water Polo Nick, 18, was named 18-and-under MVP at the Water Polo Junior Olympics after leading Orange County Aquatics to their third crown in as many years. Nick, who will play for UCLA, scored the winning goal in the 8-7 title-game victory over the San Diego Shores.
