King of the Polls
Nebraska, with its three national championships, in 1994, '95 and
'97, has to be included in any debate about which school fielded
the college football team of the 1990s. So, too, must Florida
State, which won two national titles, eight of 10 bowl games,
didn't lose more than two games in a season and finished in the
Top 4 of the final AP poll each year. The Seminoles' streak of 13
straight final Top 5 finishes is the longest--by six years--of any
school since the inception of the AP poll in '36.
