Louisville

"In my experience, your emotional connection to the tournament
is much enhanced when you're there, which I have often been.
However, I was watching the PGA Championship on TV in my living
room and have never been more captivated. That had everything to
do with Tiger.
"On 15, [Bob] May has a four-footer for birdie. Tiger has a very
difficult 15-footer to save par. I'm thinking, He'll miss, May
will make, he'll have a three-shot lead with three to play, he'll
win the PGA.
"Tiger stalks the putt the way I've never seen a putt stalked
before, but there's a total calm about him. No manifestation of
panic whatsoever. The camera is following him. I feel as if I'm
right in his eyes. That doesn't happen on TV, but that's how I
felt. Arnold Palmer had that same quality. He made TV alive.
"Tiger makes, May misses, Tiger wins his third straight major.
"I knew that had I been in that spot, I would've been thinking
about defeat. The only thing Tiger was thinking about was making
the putt."
