Witness: Yupa Poosorn Thai caddie (through an interpreter)

EVENT: Johnnie Walker Classic, Alpine Golf Club, Bangkok, Thailand
DATE: Nov. 18

"I caddied for Rodney Pampling of Australia. Almost all the
caddies in Thailand are female. My family is rice farmers, but I
love golf, especially Tiger Woods. I prayed to the spirit and
promised to bring it two chickens if Rodney Pampling made the cut
and if I saw Tiger Woods. Rodney Pampling made the cut, and in
the third round he played with Tiger Woods!

"I was very nervous that morning, but Tiger came right up to me
and introduced himself. He is so handsome! My heart was racing,
but by the 4th hole I calmed down.

"He doesn't really speak Thai. He smiles a lot. He used his
hands to say to me, 'Such a big bag for such a small girl.' Fans
were shouting at me because they were proud to see a Thai caddie
in the same group as Tiger Woods. I am so proud that Tiger is
Thai.

"He is a very strong man. His body is definitely American, but
his eyes are Thai. His smile is Thai. I promised the spirit that
if I can ever be near Tiger Woods again, I will give it a whole
pig."
