Gymnastics Gibson, 44, the women's coach at Wisconsin-La Crosse since 1985, guided the Eagles to a sixth Division III championship and a ninth Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title. For the second time in her career she was named women's gymnastics coach of the year in her division.

Hockey Wasserman, a freshman forward at Williams College, led Division III in goals with 39 and tied a school record in assists (29) with fellow freshman Tori Scott this season. Wasserman was the first female Eph in her sport to be named a first-team division All-America.

Basketball Kelvin, a senior guard at Northwestern Edison Community High, became the Wildcats' leading career scorer with 1,978 points after averaging 26.0, along with 3.5 assists, 3.8 blocks and 2.5 steals, this year. Named Gatorade high school player of the year, he'll compete for Michigan State next season.

Softball Puchalski, a freshman pitcher at Central Michigan, threw a no-hitter in her first college win, striking out 12 in a 2-0 defeat of Northwestern, and in the ensuing month pitched two more no-hitters and a perfect game--only the second in Chippewas history.

HARRINGTON Jayme Cramer, CINCINNATI Swimming Jayme, a senior at St. Xavier High who will swim for Stanford next year, set a boys' state record in the 100-yard backstroke (47.65) and the 100 butterfly (47.65) and helped the Bombers win the state title for the third straight year. He has twice been named Ohio's male swimmer of the year.

Wrestling Dusty, a 215-pound senior at Columbine High, won his third consecutive 5A state crown by defeating previously unbeaten Malcolm Havens from Ponderosa High in Arvada in the finals. Dusty, whose career record was 135-5, will compete for Northern Colorado in football and wrestling.
