Thirtysomethings
The Lakers' Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant (left) each averaged
more than 30 points per game in Los Angeles's Western Conference
semifinals sweep of the Kings. It was the fifth time teammates
had averaged 30 or more points in a postseason series. In three
of the four previous cases, their team won that series, but none
of the dynamic duos were able to parlay its high scoring into a
championship.
