Juli Inkster's U.S. Women's Open victory marked the 16th time in
her 28 LPGA victories that she has come from behind in the final
round.... Annika Sorenstam, who earned $315,000 for finishing
second, became the first LPGA player to surpass $10 million in
her career.... Western Open victor Jerry Kelly is the third
consecutive come-from-behind winner on the PGA Tour.... Davis
Love III, Western runner-up for two straight years, has had 23
second-place finishes in his career. Among active players, he
trails Greg Norman (31) and Mark Calcavecchia (24). Since the
1998 Memorial, Love has earned $10.3 million despite winning
only once.... Michael Campbell won ugly at the European Open in
Ireland, becoming the only pro in Europe or on the three major
U.S. tours this millennium to win despite bogeying the final
four holes.
