Craig Parry (NEC Invitational) and Chris Riley (Reno-Tahoe Open)
are the 11th and 12th first-time winners on the PGA Tour this
year, two shy of the record set in 1991.... Riley needed only 97
putts, the lowest number by a Tour winner in six years....
Uniting Fore Care Classic winner Morris Hatalsky, who began the
season as a Monday qualifier, is the first player with a
sponsor's exemption to win on the Senior tour since Christy
O'Connor Jr. took the 1999 State Farm Classic.... Adam Scott was
22 under on the five par-5s at the Scottish PGA, the lowest
total on either the European or the PGA Tour since 1990.... Se
Ri Pak's 63 at the Betsy King Classic was the lowest final-round
score by an LPGA winner since Kate Golden's 63 at last year's
State Farm Classic. Pak's 267 matched the LPGA's 72-hole record,
set by Golden at the State Farm.
