The Week In Television

JUNE 13 -19

FRIDAY 6/13 > ESPN2 7 PM > LSU vs. Cal State-Fullerton, College
World Series Game 2

Opposites collide: The Tigers beat Baylor 20-5 to get in, while
Fullerton twice held Arizona State, the nation's top-scoring
team, to one run in a best-of-three regional. Each team is making
its 12th appearance in Omaha.

FRIDAY 6/13 > ABC 8 PM > Spurs at Nets, Game 5

Could this be Jason Kidd's last game in New Jersey? Win or lose
in this Final, the Nets' savior is a free-agent-to-be and could
be San Antonio-bound.

DON'T MISS
SATURDAY 6/14 > SPEED 9 AM 24 Hours of Le Mans

Kiefer Sutherland, the star of another 24, has nothing on
Germany's Frank Biela, who is going for an unprecedented fourth
consecutive victory in what may be the world's most demanding
auto race. SPEED shows the final 17 hours.

SATURDAY 6/14 AND SUNDAY 6/15 > NBC 1:30 PM > U.S. Open

Tiger is 0-for-his-last-three-majors. At Olympia Fields, a tight
par-70 south of Chicago, he'll rely less on raw power and more on
accuracy to find the course's tiny greens.

SUNDAY 6/15 > ESPN 8 PM > Braves at Mariners

We all know that interleague play doesn't always yield memorable
matchups ("Marlins versus Rangers--be there!"), but this one
makes the experiment look smart. The AL's best team is hosting
the NL's best.

THURSDAY 6/19 > GALAVISION 12:50 PM > FIFA Confederations Cup,
U.S. vs. Turkey

The U.S. takes on a team that was third in the 2002 World Cup,
and the game's not even on English-language TV. Settle in with
chips and a Spanish-English dictionary.
