Last month Colorado climber Aron Ralston competed in Adventure
Duluth, a six-discipline adventure race in Minnesota. In May,
Ralston, 27, made headlines around the world when he amputated
his right arm below the elbow after being pinned by an 800-pound
boulder for five days in a Utah canyon. Wearing a prosthetic
forearm and hand, Ralston kayaked, canoed, ran, swam,
mountain-biked and skated to a 38th-place finish.
