Wallabies of Australia take on Argentina's Pumas in Sydney. The
game will be aired on FSW on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m.

Brett Favre, born in Kiln, Miss., in 1969. Favre is 8-4 in games
following his b-day. The Packers play the Chiefs on Sunday on CBS.

SATURDAY 11

FLORIDA STATE VS. MIAMI ABC NOON > Do you even need a reason?
Both teams are 5-0 and have top defenses, and the Hurricanes want
revenge.
--OKLAHOMA VS. TEXAS ABC 3:30 PM > Annual showdown in
Cotton Bowl dates to 1912. Inside the stadium UT will try to
avoid a fourth straight loss to the Sooners. Outside the stadium
is the Texas State Fair, featuring a pumpkin carving
demonstration.

SUNDAY 12

WOMEN'S Soccer WORLD CUP FINAL ABC 12:30 PM > Germany, which
upset the U.S. in the semis, takes on No. 2 seed Sweden.
--FORMULA ONE JAPANESE GRAND PRIX SPEED 1 PM > In the season's
final race, Kimi Raikkonen tries to keep Michael Schumacher from
his sixth straight title.

MONDAY 13

THE NATIONAL WILD TURKEY CALLING CONTEST > Get your Thanksgiving
dinner to come to you. Citizens of Yellville, Ark., gobble for
glory at the 58th annual Turkey Trot Festival. Categories include
"yelp of the hen," "kee kee run," "cutting of the excited hen"
and "cluck and purr."

TUESDAY 14

FINANCIAL WRITERS AND EDITORS CONFERENCE > Michael Lewis, author
of best-selling Moneyball, is the keynote speaker in Milwaukee.
In case anyone missed it, Lewis will talk about how A's G.M.
Billy Beane used an unconventional drafting and trading strategy
to build his successful team.

WEDNESDAY 15

BRUINS VS. STARS ESPN2 8:30 P.M. > The B's are defense-minded,
and Stars goalie Marty Turco is game's stingiest. Channel
surfers: At 10 flip to CBS for The Brotherhood of Poland, N.H.,
the new dramedy about three former high school hockey heroes (one
of them played by Randy Quaid) getting on with middle age in a
small town.

THURSDAY 16

TOUR OF HOPE > Lance Armstrong rolls into Indianapolis--where he
was treated for testicular cancer in 1996--with 26 cyclists as
part of a 3,200-mile cross-country trip to raise money for cancer
research. How's this for mettle: The riders, all cancer
survivors, caregivers, nurses, doctors or researchers, go coast
to coast in eight days.
