A 10-7 win over Nebraska in the 1965 Cotton Bowl gave Arkansas
its only national football title. That Hogs team contained the
seeds of an NFL dynasty: One guard was future Cowboys owner Jerry
Jones; another was Jimmy Johnson, who coached Dallas to Super
Bowl wins in 1993 and '94; and an assistant coach was Barry
Switzer, who guided Jones's team to victory in the '96 Super Bowl.
