A hero's welcome awaited shortstop Alex Gonzalez after his
12th-inning homer off little-used Yankees righthander Jeff
Weaver won the Series-turning Game 4, but these Marlins were a
team with many heroes, including catcher Pudge Rodriguez
(kneeling), who drove in 17 postseason runs, and righthander
Josh Beckett (page 72), who earned Series MVP honors after
tossing a shutout in Game 6.
