Greatest Moment

Oklahoma's greatest sports "moment" spanned four years. Between
Oct. 10, 1953, when they beat Texas 19-14, and Nov. 16, 1957,
when they lost 7-0 to Notre Dame, coach Bud Wilkinson's
Sooners--led by stars like halfback Tommy McDonald, the 1956
Maxwell Trophy winner--won 47 straight games and two national
titles. The streak is still the longest in major college history.
